There are so many ways to get involved with the MBAR Parent Organization this year! Please join us at meetings, in person or virtually, and volunteer when opportunities come up. A big thank you to everyone who came out for the Texas Roadhouse Spirit Night in September.

Several Parent Org positions still need someone to take them over this year, including the President role. If you're interested, see open Parent Org roles below.

🔔 Reminders: Apple Calendar and Outlook get a reminder at 6 PM the evening before each event automatically. Google Calendar skips built-in reminders for subscribed calendars, so to get alerts open Google Calendar on a computer, go to Settings > the MBAR calendar > Event notifications (and All-day event notifications), and add one.

PO PresidentLead the way and coordinate with the school on volunteer and funding needs.
Gently-Loved Uniform SalesStore, organize, and sell donated uniforms.
DonationsCollect, store, and organize donations, such as for the Raffle and Gardening Day.
Thankful ThursdaysWork with restaurants and lead parents to feed teachers and staff once a month.
EventsOrganize PO events like Coffee Talk and the Welcome Back Potluck; help book venues.
CommunicationsHandle PO communications on all platforms, including email and WhatsApp.

Trunk-or-Treat · Candy Cars

Fri, Oct 30 · set up from 9:00 AM · MBAR parking lot

Minimum of 20 cars needed. Decorate (PG), dress up, and bring treats for 140 students. No homemade treats.

Help guide students through the lot. Recommended for all Room 1 parents; Room 2 leaders guide 2–3 students each. Park at Blue Tornado.

Trunk-or-Treat safety

No masks, face paint, hair color, or weapons/props. Send water: the parking lot gets hot. Rain cancels the event.
